What is Minimalism, you may ask?
A soothing wind, a purposeful art, a gradual music, a poem with an economy of words, a film with a simple story, all have a minimalistic approach. An approach that makes the viewer respond to only to what is in front of them,
Zephyr - The Film and Photography Society of CVS, decided on the theme “Minimalism” where we tried to experience freedom by inculcating order and harmony to the art. The art that does not pretend to be anything else other than what it is.
The setting of art here is focused on the various segments ranging from lifestyle to food followed by displaying them through monochromatism, flat lay and other forms of photography.
The right way to do life is by focusing on one thing at a time. There’s beauty all around but sometimes instead of looking in different directions we need to introspect what’s exactly infront of us.
Thus, we bring to you the concept of flat lays.
It brings to life the object that’s being captured by simply magnifying the uniqueness of it.
Flat-lay pictures are clicked in a controlled setting with respect to the object, subject and the lighting. This viewpoint can turn the subject from 3D to 2D.
The pictures are taken on a flat surface through the bird eye view. It helps us to expand our horizon and look at our surroundings through a different persepective.
The need to get up and keep trying over and over
Caught up in one's own thoughts
Hanging by a thread, ready to take the leap
They say it's a rollercoaster ride
of highs and lows
